The Osaka University European Center for Academic Initiatives in Groningen, the Netherlands, was established in 2005. Since then, we have been committed to contributing to the progress of Osaka University's global activities as one of our four Overseas Centers.
The primary mission of the European Center is to promote comprehensive exchanges while working with the University of Groningen as a strategic partner. We aim to use such experience so as to further develop education and research exchanges that take advantage of the uniqueness and strengths of universities in Europe.
The European Center supports all international research conferences in Europe attended or held by Osaka University groups or researchers, as well as Osaka University's collaborative research that takes place across the continent. As a world-leading research institute, it is vital that we make our utmost effort to offer our education and research ability to others. All are free to use our European Center as a base for their activities in Europe.
